Volunteering
We are lucky enough to have a group of long standing volunteers who regularly give up their time helping with daily chores and maintenance at our rehoming centre.
We always welcome volunteers, whether just for an hour, a morning or for much longer.
There is always so much to do!
If you would like to lend a hand while you are on your holidays, you could help feed our dogs, wash bowls, fill water bowls, do some laundry, groom, bathe, socialise with and walk them etc. Maybe you could help with some maintenance of the dog boxes, help clean the yard…. so many things need to be done.
Or if you wanted to do some longer term volunteering, please do get in touch to discuss further.
How can I get involved?
If you would like to get involved raising awareness and funds for OSPA, we would love to hear from you.
OSPA rely totally on donations from the public to care for their residents and keep the rehoming centre functional and running smoothly. A lot of hard work goes on behind the scenes encouraging existing and new followers to support us. We need regular donations in order for this to happen. There is a lot of maintenance needed on site on a regular basis, to promote a safer and more secure environment. Improvements to current facilities are always on our minds to make life better for the dogs and easier for the staff.
How can I help if I’m not able to visit OSPA?
Maybe you could hold a raffle, a coffee morning or a cake sale? Create a Crowd Funder page, do a sponsored dog walk or bike ride? Hold a quiz night at your local or have a dress down day at your workplace! Or if you’re feeling adventurous, you could even jump from a plane!
Sponsorship
We currently run two sponsorship opportunities – ‘Sponsor a Dog’ and ‘Sponsor a Suite’
Sponsor a Dog
Would you like to be a ‘special friend’ to one of our resident dogs? A regular monthly payment means that you will be supporting your sponsor dog to cover costs for food, regular parasite treatment and annual vaccinations.
Full or shared sponsorship available. Full sponsorship at £35/€35 per month, or shared from £15/€15 to £20/€20 per month. If you wanted to sponsor a new arrival at OSPA and they don’t have a name yet, then you get the honour of choosing their name!

Sponsor a Suite
We have 22 pens which house the resident dogs at OSPA’s rehoming centre, all of which are in desperate need of on-going maintenance to keep them safe and secure. A regular monthly sponsorship means that you will be helping to make this happen and make a real difference to their daily lives by contributing to new fencing, roofing, shade, drainage etc. Sponsorship is £20/€20 per month and you can choose the ‘suite’ you would like to support. We aim to make this a fun community of homes with the rehoming centre, with each ‘suite’ having its own unique name. Look out for competition opportunities to name the suites – coming soon!
